Tip 9: Consider SEO during the Web Design
It is helpless for your business if no person visits your website. Hence, it is important to put some time into planning which effective search engine optimization (SEO) techniques to use for the website during the web design stage.
SEO is a combination of strategical thinking about the website’s content, title tags, Meta tags, page structure, and accessibility coding so as to improve your website’s ranking in the search results and help the site visitors find your website.
When it comes to designing the website, the old adage KISS is a good advice: “Keep It Simple, Sweetie”. Make your website as straightforward and easy to navigate as possible. Also be aware of how much Flash to be used. Many web designers prefer to use lots of Flash animations which a search engine cannot read. Websites built entirely in Flash generally do not have searchable content and bad for SEO.
Besides, it should include ethical SEO techniques in your web pages and avoid unethical SEO practices which risk of being blacklisted by search engines. It implies the web designers should have a clear understanding of both how to make a website visible to search engines and what search engines consider ethical and unethical practices.
